Barnsboro Inn
About us
The Barnsboro Inn stands as a testament to over two centuries of history and hospitality. Originally licensed as a tavern by John Barnes on March 19, 1776, the inn was strategically positioned at the intersection of five main roads, providing a much-needed respite for travelers. Built atop the highest ground in the area, it offers a commanding view of the surrounding wooded countryside, reminiscent of its early days when John Budd first established his log cabin in 1720.
Over the years, the inn has played a pivotal role in the community, transitioning from its original name, the Spread Eagle, through various iterations before settling on its current designation.
The Barnsboro Inn's rich history is woven into the fabric of the community, having once been the focal point of the area known as Barnesborough. Today, it continues to honor its legacy by offering a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with modern amenities while preserving the charm of its storied past.
Visitors can enjoy a unique dining experience that blends historical ambiance with contemporary culinary offerings, making every visit a journey through time. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking a cozy spot to unwind, the Barnsboro Inn offers a unique glimpse into the past while serving the present with distinction.
